Awareness in schools and universities

Unfortunately, there is no age for gender-based violence and that is why we also work a lot in schools. This is our main place of intervention, in most of the country's localities.

Things to know about our school and university outreach campaign

Education is an essential weapon in the fight against prejudice and confusion. Today more than ever, building a better society through better living together. The difference and the multiculturality seems to us fundamental. To make young people aware of their responsibilities, to allow them to feel useful and to create solid links seems possible to us. Wbts is invested in the education of young people...

Our places of intervention

By raising awareness, we hope that violence in schools will stop, that victims will dare to speak out, and that these future adults will be more respectful of others.

We try to act in a maximum of establishments and on a large age range: public schools and high schools (Toamasina, Fianarantsoa, Mahajanga and Fort Dauphin) and also in some universities (University of Antsiranana, High Studies in Law and Management, Regional University Center of Androy, University of Fianarantsoa)

How do we raise awarness?

To be as effective as possible, we mobilize and create several kinds of tools: short videos, cartoons, statistics, glossaries, educational game books, slams ... we also train partners and volunteers, so that they can create a local branch and, themselves, sensitize and train more students and crisis centers.

Our branches

In some cities such as Mahajanga and Fort Dauphin, our volunteer branches also train youth associations and raise awareness through radios and Fokontany.

Today we are also investigating, for example, sexual corruption in schools, which is far too prevalent.
